(Video) Speech About Iowan Being Raised By Lesbians Goes Viral - Again

Iowa Citian Zach Wahls talks about how his life has changed since he became a public figure and what other young people can do to fight for equality and speak out against intolerance.

Many people remember when Iowa Citian Zach Wahls delivered an impassioned speech before the Iowa House of Representatives about his pride in being raised by lesbian parents.

That was back in February, and the video went viral. All of sudden the video has caught fire and is going viral all over again. According to Washington Post, Wahls visited the social media site Reddit on Wednesday night in the “Ask Me Anything” section. Users could write to ask about his experience. The appearance prompted the resurgence of interest, according to the newspaper.

Above, you'll find Wahls' speech as well as the interview Yale Cohn did with him shortly after it went viral the first time. They talk about what it was like growing up with two mothers, what led him to decide to go and speak, how his life has changed after being thrust into the public eye, and what other young people can do to fight for equality and speak out against intolerance.
