From Media Release

The seventh annual Mission Creek Festival returns March 27-April 1, 2012. The six-day celebration takes over the venues and art spaces in downtown Iowa City, creating an easily navigated collection of music, literature, and art.

As with past festivals, this year will feature a strong balance of national, regional and local musicians, writers, and artists. In the first batch of artist announcements, the festival is excited to announce performances by pop icons The Magnetic Fields, comedian David Cross, and singer/songwriter Sharon Van Etten. New additions to the festival will include a local food-appreciation program and an artist-in-residency series.

The 2012 Mission Creek Festival is supported through the generous sponsorships of West Music, the Moen Group, Catherine's Boutique, New Pioneer Food Co-op, The Mansion, and the Iowa City/Coralville Convention and Visitors Bureau.
