K-9 Sitter Needed (Iowa City)
Hello...My wife Lynda and I are coming to Iowa city, hopefully very soon.She has gone through chemo therapy for bone cancer , followed by stem cell transplant,2 years ago May.
This trip will hopefully be the final stop for her. She has been placed on the kidney transplant list.The VA has told us we cannot have our dogs with us in the accommodations that are being provided for her recovery time,which we understand,but We have no one here that can watch and care for our furry family members that is required.They are blue heelers.
Both are 12 years old....siblings...
Zeus is a gental giant..Pretty much thinks he rules all that he surveys..No problem around people....does not play well with other animals.He had knee surgery many years back ...but did not take////just needs minor help going up steps.
Athena is a true princess.She was born deaf and developed diabetes and blindness a couple years ago,which requires insuline twice daily with meals , loves non stop belly rubs ..
What part of standing there with his wife makes you think this is a good idea?

I know this is beyond a long shot, because I saw you there last fall. The moment we locked eyes sent my heart into my stomach and does so again every time I think about it. You are much older; distinguished, tall, with salt and pepper hair, and you dressed in a tweed sport coat that was very easy and smart. You were with what looked like your wife, who was meticulously choosing something from the bottom shelf. If she had seen the way you looked at me, I don't know how you would have survived the drive home.

Ped Mall Is A Liberal's Dream
Decades ago, Dubuque Street used to go through. There were real stores downtown that people wanted to go to and you could park right in front of the store. Imagine that. Then urban renewal happened. Insane libs took over. They closed off Dubuque Street, built a hotel in the middle of the road with your tax dollars to ensure it would never reopen to traffic. The mentally ill, alcoholic, homeless, runaways, drug addicts, and other human debris showed up. Shoppers fled. Stores moved away. Movie theaters left. Now it's just bar after bar after bar, or yogurt places. They banned smoking in the bars so now they smoke on the street. Liberals won't move the human debris along, instead they put parking meters up so stupid libs can donate money that way. It's a dumb person's version of utopia.
