Zach Wahls Reading Scheduled for Next Week
The University of Iowa will stream the reading online.
Iowa City-native Zach Wahls will read from his new book My Two Moms next week downtown Iowa City.
The event is next Saturday, May 26, at Prairie Lights. The University of Iowa will stream the reading online at writinguniversity.com.
Wahls was a University of Iowa student last year when he delivered testimony in favor of gay marriage to the Iowa legislature. The video of Wahls' testimony went viral and caught plenty of media attention, leading to speaking engagements, talk show appearances, and a book deal for Wahls.

The university is also streaming two other readings online next week. Charles Read, UI professor emeritus of pediatrics, will read from This Navy Doctor Came Ashore, on Tuesday, May 22 and Kevin Wilson will read from The Family Fang on Thursday, May 24.
