Johnson County Salvation Army Halfway to Fundraising Goal

The charity could still use your donations this holiday season.

As of Tuesday, December 11th, The Johnson County Salvation Army has raised $177,145 towards their goal of $350,000.  This puts them at a little over 50% to their goal with Red Kettles and other donations that community members have made.
        The Christmas Campaign was kicked off on November 9th with Honorary Chairman Tim Dwight making the first contribution into a Red Kettle.  The money raised during this campaign equals approximately half of their annual budget and is used to help support things like their dinner program, a free youth character building program and numerous other social services.  
        To make your contribution today to help reach their goal you can go online towww.icsalvationarmy.org, mail your donations to 1116 Gilbert Court  Iowa City, IA  52240, or text the word ‘iowacity’ to 80888 to make a $5 donation (standard text message rates apply).
