Information on How to Help an Iowa City Family Dispossessed by Tuesday Night Fire

One of those affected by the fire was a family with two students at Longfellow Elementary School, and that school is trying to gather materials to help the family survive the transition.

The Longfellow Elementary School community is looking to help out one of the families dispossed by the fire that gutted a building at 1515 Jackson Avenue earlier this week.

The family, who had been living in one of the two apartments in the single story building, has two students who currently attend Longfellow Elementary School.

Longfellow issued a call to help the family through the crisis by supplying needed goods. You can see the message attached in PDF form to this story. Longfellow states that they will accept donations and continue to help the family with things they need.
