Grand Funk Railroad and Matt & Kim to Perform at the University of Iowa's 100th Homecoming Celebration

Festivities begin next week.

Another University of Iowa Homecoming approaches next week, the 100th University of Iowa homecoming in fact, and some music and other festivities will precede a game against the sort-of-hated Gophers of Minnesota.

Co-headlining the musical festivities according to Scope Productions is a little something for mom and dad, with still rocking Grand Funk Railroad, and a little some for the kids from Brooklyn Indie Pop duo Matt & Kim.

The show will be free and open to the public on the Pentacrest and immediately follow the Homecoming parade. According to the Scope website the performance will "be rocking the Pentacrest in a BIG style that’s pitch-perfect for the 100th anniversary of Homecoming."
