On Tuesday, June 28, 2011, teen programming at the Iowa City Public Library took on a new flavor. More than 20 Iowa City youth gathered for "Cupcake Wars!", the final event for ICPL's teen summer reading program, transforming Room A into Room Art. These creative battles were ferocious, but alas, only two rounds could claim a winner.
The summer reading program continues in book form through July 31. Teens can turn in a list of five books read this summer for a paperback book prize and a chance to win a Nook eReader. For more information on ICPL's teen summer reading program, email teens@icpl.org.
