TEMPORARY TRANSCRIPTIONIST

Variable hours, with an average of 9-10 hours every 2 weeks

                                                                                                                              

 

Listens to CD’s of investigative interviews and prepares transcriptions on computer within required deadlines. Duties also include monthly transcriptions of the minutes from the human rights commission meetings.

 

Minimum education, experience and certification

High school diploma or equivalent and previous experience with Microsoft Word required. One year transcription experience preferred. Requires internet knowledge and skills with the ability to receive audio data and return printable documents. Individual must provide own work space and computer equipment including a printer and software to be able to transcribe digital audio files. Confidentiality agreement required upon start of employment.

 

City of Iowa City application must be received by 5PM, Friday August 2, 2013, in Human Resources, 410 E. Washington Street, Iowa City, Iowa 52240.
