PARKS SECURITY/MAINTENANCE

Parks Division

Wage: $10.00 per hour

Two temporary part-time positions available

Hours: Up to 30 hours per week

Flexible schedule; may include some evening and weekend hours

Job Duration: July – November

Enforces park rules and regulations. Secures and protects park facilities. Posts reservations for picnic shelters, ball diamonds, etc. Patrols park and recreation areas; maintains good public relations and Police cooperation. Maintains restroom facilities daily, and picks up trash on weekends and holidays. Will alternate schedules with other Parks Security/Maintenance employees as assigned by the Parks Superintendent. Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum education, experience and certification

Applicant must be well suited to outdoor work and possess the ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks under adverse weather conditions. Applicant must be self-motivated and have the ability to work under minimal supervision. A good work record and job stability is necessary. Requires previous public contact experience. Previous experience in the enforcement of rules and regulations preferred. Applicant must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Must pass criminal background check.
