Cedar Rapids Walk to Cure Arthritis Raises $12,000

Cedar Rapids, IA – June 16, 2014 – Area residents have raised $12,000 so far in the fight to cure arthritis by participating in the Cedar Rapids Walk to Cure Arthritis held June 7. Participants and teams rallied together to show their support and be the voice of people living with the nation’s leading cause of disability.

Funds raised through Walk to Cure Arthritis events across the nation go toward Arthritis Foundation programs, research and advocacy initiatives to help prevent, control and find a cure for this crippling disease.

“There were 58 registered participants for this year’s Walk to Cure Arthritis,” says Arthritis Foundation Director of Special Events, Steve Brill. “We are excited to be a part of removing the burden of arthritis both locally and across the country.”
