Iowa City Police Are Seeking Information on Walmart Car Burglary

A surveillance photo captured a man who may be able to provide the police information about the crime.

 


The Iowa City Police Department is looking for more information on a "person of interest" who may be able to provide investigators with information about a car burglary at Walmart, 919 Hwy 1 W, on March 7.

According to a police department press release, the man in the white shirt pictured in the attached photo may be able to provide the police information about the burglary, where a vehicle was broken into and several items were stolen.

"The man wearing the white shirt pictured in the photo may have knowledge of the vehicle burglary," according to the release.

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering its usual reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest in this crime. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477). All calls are confidential, and the identity of the caller does not need to be revealed to collect the reward.
