Back to Work Week 2012 is nearly over, but not yet.
There is an end of the week celebration later today beginning at 5 p.m. at the Trumpet Blossom Cafe in Iowa City. This is a new restaurant behind the Vine. Q7 Cycling is hosting a Heels & Wheels Fashion Show, and there will also be live music and prizes, including a bike from Sugar Bottom Bikes in North Liberty.
Proceeds go to the Johnson County Trail Foundation and ICCOR (Iowa Coalition of Off Road Riders)
Having participated in a few of the events this year, kudos to the planners. I've posted a few pictures I've collected from the week, including from the Old Pi to New Pi Bike Ride (New Pioneer Co-op in Iowa City to Co-op in Coralville), the Commuter Breakfast at the Johnson County Administration Building, and the Bike Rodeo at Longfellow Elementary with Ryan Baker from World of Bikes providing tune ups.
Iowa City Patch guest editor this week Adam Sullivan also wrote about a bike forum on Tuesday. Read about it here: Cycling Enthusiasts: Iowa City Could Do Better on Bike Infrastructure.
