Make Napoléon Era Medallions at the Old Capitol Museum

The University of Iowa Old Capitol Museum is hosting its next “Wednesday Workshop!” series Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 6-7:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to make a simple Napoléon-era medallion, inspired by current exhibition, Napoléon and the Art of Propaganda, which is co-sponsored by the UI Museum of Art.

Wednesday workshop participants will make medals like this one, depicting the coronation of Napoleon. Photo courtesy of Museum of Natural History

Families and children are welcome to attend the free event. Because space is limited, please pre-register by calling Kathrine Moermond at 319-335-0546.
